How Medium Affects Storytelling: print vs audio

“Almost four months after promising $1 million of his own money to veterans’ causes, Donald Trump moved to fulfill that pledge Monday evening — promising the entire sum to a single charity as he came under intense media scrutiny.”
Four months ago, Donald Trump promised to donate a million dollars of his own money to veterans’ groups.
But it wasn’t until last night that he began to fulfill that pledge.
Trump promised the entire sum to a single charity.

In-class exercise: interview your peer
Use both the Zoom recorder with the M/S capsule, and your phone. In Pro Tools we’ll see how two different mics react to the same situation, and go through voice cleanup, repair, restoration with EQ, compression, and noise removal plugins.
Interview your peer about their idea for their first project. Refer to the Story Corps list and note which questions you used that worked well and why. Tape for 5 mins minimum, with the intention of cutting to a 1-2 min segment.
You have the option to write and record your narration now or during editing.
